About Old Cobbler
Most people arrive here with the name already in hand. Someone in a thread said "Old Cobbler", or a friend forwarded a link, and now you are on the site trying to work out whether it is the real thing. This page is the long version of that answer.
What this site is, and what it is not
Old Cobbler is a storefront we run ourselves at oldcobblerreps.com. You order here, we ship to you. There is no agent in the middle, no album to scroll, no chat thread where you send a screenshot and hope.
We are also not any other seller who happens to use a similar name. If you found "Old Cobbler" somewhere else — an album account, a group buy, a middleman offering to place your order — that is not us, we cannot vouch for it, and we do not claim its record or its reviews. What we ask you to judge is this site: this catalogue, these prices, this inbox.
What is actually in the catalogue
Around 3,800 live listings, and they are bags and leather goods rather than a bit of everything. The Louis Vuitton side runs to the model families people actually search by name — Speedy and Speedy Bandoulière, Neverfull, OnTheGo, Alma, Capucines, Twist, NeoNoé, Pochette, Keepall — with the size codes (BB, PM, MM, GM) on the listings so you can tell a compact one from a weekend one. The Hermès side carries Birkin, Kelly, Constance, Evelyne, Lindy, Bolide, Garden Party and Picotin, plus the Oran sandals.
Beyond the bags there are several hundred wallets and small leather goods, over a hundred backpacks, and then belts, clutches, pouches and the sandals. Prices run from roughly US$66 to a little under US$2,900 depending on the piece, with most of the catalogue sitting between US$160 and US$450.
We list what the product record says — model, size, canvas or leather, colourway — and nothing it does not. No leather grades, no country-of-manufacture story, no authentication vocabulary. These are not consignment pieces and there is no card, sticker or certificate involved anywhere.
Getting it to you
Orders are prepared within 1–2 business days and ship from our warehouse in China, direct to the address you give us. Standard delivery is free worldwide, to 246 countries, and typically takes 10–20 days from dispatch; express is a flat US$30 and typically takes 5–10 days. Tracking is emailed at dispatch and usually goes live within 24–48 hours.
Every parcel ships Delivery Duty Paid, so import taxes and customs duties are already in the price you paid at checkout and there is nothing to pay on delivery. If a courier asks you for a fee on one of our parcels, send it to us and we will handle it.
Paying, and what happens if it goes wrong
Checkout takes card payments through our payment provider — we never see or store your card details — and prices are shown in your own currency rather than as a converted guess at the end. The total at checkout is the final total.
If your order has not arrived within 30 days of dispatch, we reship it free or refund it in full, whichever you prefer. You have 30 days from delivery to request a return for an item in the condition it reached you; approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. Contact us before returning anything — a parcel sent back without a request first cannot be accepted. Both policies are published in full on the shipping policy and return policy pages.
Someone actually answers
Grace handles our messages, on WhatsApp or by email at grace@oldcobblerreps.com, and you can reach her from the contact page. Same person before you order, after you order, and when something needs fixing. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
The useful thing to send is the product link or the exact model and size code you are weighing up, or — for an existing order — the order number from your confirmation email, which starts with OCB. If you are comparing two bags, send both links in one message and we will answer both.
Real talk about what you are buying
A replica is not the authentic bag, and we are not going to give you a percentage or a grade to suggest how close it gets. We do not have a number we could stand behind, and neither does anyone quoting one at you.
What we can do is refuse to be vague about the object itself: the photographs on the listing are of the item, the measurements and colourways are what the record says, and if we do not know something we leave it off rather than fill it in. The customers who come back are the ones who knew exactly what was arriving before they ordered.
Two questions we get constantly
"Is this legit, or am I about to lose my money?"
Ask it — we would rather that than have you assume. Do the checking you would do on any online seller you had not used before: read what buyers say in places we do not moderate, look at whether the site answers a question properly before you pay, and start with one piece if you are unsure. Buy on evidence, not on trust we have not earned from you yet.
"Why did the reply take a few hours?"
We are on China time and our customers are everywhere else. A message sent while we are asleep waits for the morning; it does not get lost. If it has been more than a day, send it again — that means something broke on our end.
Where this is going
We are not built for one-off sales. We are building a catalogue deep enough that the model you came for is actually in it, and a shop where the answer you get is the same one you would get after paying. Thank you for considering Old Cobbler.
